JPMI memiliki ruang lingkup nasional, mencakup berbagai topik seputar pemberdayaan kewirausahaan masyarakat yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan pengembangan dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Tujuan publikasi jurnal ini adalah untuk menyebarluaskan pemikiran-pemikiran dan gagasan-gagasan konseptual serta hasil-hasil penelitian yang telah dicapai dalam bidang pengabdian kepada dan pengembangan masyarakat. JPMI berisi berbagai gagasan, penemuan, dan hasil penelitian dari berbagai kegiatan yang dilakukan baik oleh para mahasiswa maupun dosen Universitas Prasetiya Mulya dan institusi lain dalam menangani dan mengelola berbagai potensi, kesulitan, tantangan dan beragam permasalahan terkait pengembangan wirausaha masyarakat yang diselenggarakan PPKM Universitas Prasetiya Mulya maupun institusi pendidikan atau lembaga lain. Kegiatan pengembangan masyarakat (Community Development) yang diselenggarakan PPKM Prasetiya Mulya dan institusi lain, dalam konteks lingkup jurnal ini, melibatkan masyarakat sebagai mitra dan bertujuan untuk pengembangan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Abstract

Es Noni is a home-based ice cream business that is still being classified as a small business as it needs a better development process to increase its sales. Therefore, Es Noni has several problems formulated from this case that needs to be solved. First, the production quantity of the ice cream was limited due to the absence of, no suitable freezer to store all of the production demand. Next, there was only one place to sell the ice cream continuously and they didn’t have a large, compatible cooling box that has enough space to store all of the sellable ice creams. Whereas the last problem is Es Noni never records its sales on a daily basis and their way of distributing the revenue is still incorrect. With all of the problems that Es Noni had, the author wanted to help in solving these problems. The author purchased most of the required equipment to increase the amount of production and sales. Moreover, the author discovered other sales methods to expand the ice cream’s market, alongside giving them the knowledge on how to write an accounting report correctly regarding their cash flow and product inventory to minimize the occurrence of adverse errors.

Abstract

The Village Owned Enterprises (BUMK) Hendro Mulyo was established by the Government of Tempuran Village, Trimurjo District, Central Lampung Regency. Although it is strategically located, BUMK has not been able to explore business potential following the conditions of the local community. The purpose of this community service activity is to explore the potential of the village as a form of BUMK business and make a Budget Plan for BUMK businesses. The result of community service activities is that BUMK management has established a business form and can plan their business budget.

Abstract

Studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan diperoleh informasi bahwa permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh Masalah umum yang muncul pada masyarakat kelompok usaha pengolahan ikan yaitu terbatasnya pengetahuan produksi olahan ikan, rancang bangun, dan manajemen dalam hal pengolahan variasi makanan ikan, seperti: ikan asin, ikan pindang, otak-otak. Hasil pengamatan langsung (20 Agustus 2018), usaha pengolahan ikan sudah ditekuni turun-temurun dari keluarga dimana hasil penjualan mengalami penurunan dari tahun ke tahun dikarenakan perubahan iklim cuaca dan belum adanya teknologi yang mendukung untuk menunjang produksi variasi makanan. Oleh karena itu diperlukan pengetahuan produksi olahan ikan, rancang bangun, dan manajemen pengelolaan wirausaha, sehingga pengolahan ikan lebih maksimal. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PKM adalah pertama pendampingan yang dilakukan melalui sosialisasi dan FGD untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang potensi sumber daya alam berupa ikan yang melimpah dihasilkan oleh nelayan desa teluk yang bisa dimanfaatkan atau diolah menjadi berbagai macam makanan dan kerajinan tangan. Kedua kegiatan pelatihan pengolahan ikan berbasis food security menjadi makanan dan kerajinan tangan yang diajarkan praktek mengenai pengoalahan ikan menjadi makanan berupa nugget, bakso, sosis, empek-empek, dan otak-otak sedangkan pengolahan ikan menjadi kerajinan tangan berupa bunga hias dan perhiasan imitasi serta pelatihan mengenai manajemen keuangan sederhana. Luaran yang akan dicapai dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan penerima manfaat dalam mengolah ikan menjadi beberapa jenis produk yang bernilai sehingga dapat membantu dalam perekonomian keluarga. Serta produk dari ikan yang dihasilkan berupa makanan dan kerajinan tangan.

Abstract

Community Development is a lecture activity held by Prasetiya Mulya University for semester 5 students. On this occasion our group obtained business partners in the Wangunjaya Village, Cugenang District. Who owns the business consists of decorative lights which have raw materials consisting of paralon pipes made of PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride). Starting from the operational aspects, financial, human resources to marketing. The target that our group have discussed is to expand the scope of this business, so that the number of people who know this product and its development can increase significantly. In terms of operations, our partner have been able to produce up to 100 products per month after occupying a new place. Before he moved to the new place, our partner was only able to produce 50 products per month. For finance, our partner use Value-Based Pricing strategies to determine the selling price of each product. In addition, we also managed to increase our partner's monthly income from Rp 2.375.000,- to Rp 4.257.300,-. Then, for the marketing department, our group had suggested our partner to uses social media like Instagram to market our products. Instagram is used to promote existing products, while more information about products and special orders can be done via WhatsApp. And for the human resources section, our partners managed to increase the number of employees from 2 employees to 5 employees

Abstract

Community Development Program initiated by Universitas Prasetiya Mulya aims to improve community welfare through the assistance and business development of the partners. In 2019, the Community program was taking place in Cianjur, West Java. One of the business partner assisted and developed in the Community Development 2019 program is the Basreng chips business owned by Kang Wendy. Kang Wendy sells and market the product under a brand called AW Basreng. Kang Wendy encounters some challenges in developing his business due to lack of knowledge and skill in managing a good business. However, the Basreng chips business has the potential to develop and can be sustainable because of the characteristic the Basreng flavor developed by Kang Wendy. Within the 45 days, Kang Wendy and the builder team had made some improvements in the area of operational management, marketing, human resources, and finance. With regards to the improvement, Kang Wendy's most successfully achievement is accelerating the production process time and expanding product marketing through online marketing. The writing of this article aims to provide an overview of the problems that arise in MSME businesses and the corrective steps that can be taken to develop a Basreng business in Cianjur, West Java.

Abstract

On June 7, 2018 the Director General of Primary and Secondary Education Regulation No. 07 / D.D5 / KK 2018 was issued concerning the Curriculum Structure of Vocational High Schools (SMK)/Madrasah Aliyah Majors (MAK) as the latest revision of the 2013 Curriculum Structure. Since it was published the revision of K13 has brought many changes in the curriculum structure of business and management vocational for vocational schools with a major in accounting and financial institutions. One of them is the emergence of "accounting practice of services, trades and manufacturing company” that will be taught in classes XI and XII. The problem faced by the MGMP Accounting Team in West Sumatra Province is manufacturing accounting material which is part of the subject of "accounting practice of services, trades and manufacturing company" is a new thing that requires an increase in understanding in manufacturing accounting materials, especially the practice of preparing financial statements of manufacturing companies as a form of improving teacher’s professionalism in teaching this material, especially for students of class XII 2019/2020 school year. The implementation team believes that the drill and practice method is the most appropriate method used as a learning method for "accounting practice of manufacturing companies" subjects. This activity is carried out through two approaches namely capacity building which focuses on the important concepts of preparing financial statements of manufacturing companies and workshops that use comprehensive modules as learning practices with drill and practice methods. At the end of the activity the participant can understand 81.26% and be able to complete 65.00% of the cases of preparing financial statements of manufacturing companies. So it can be concluded that this activity has been able to increase teacher professionalism in teaching the subject of " accounting practice of manufacturing companies ".

Abstract

According to Disnakertrans, there is an increase of income from jobs in the sub-district which makes financial management even more important, therefore The Community Development Program will help small businesses manage their finances. The Community Development Program helps out small businesses with the help of Prasetiya Mulya University students majoring in business, finance, marketing, and events. The team will take on a small Pempek business with no brand name, no standard of operational procedure, and little financial management. The team’s task is to improve and develop the small business in one month to help the business sustain against competitions. The team has jumpstarted it’s sales, marketing, human resources, finance, and operation with an investment worth of Rp 2 million, an operational rework to make the production run smoothly, promotions, and constant mentoring from the team.

Abstract

The development of Micro, Small and Medium - Scale Business in Indonesia is carried out to improve the economy and create jobs for the community. Nowadays, many Micro, Small and Medium - Scale Business in the culinary sector in Cianjur utilize the regional culinary diversity to develop the businesses they are running. One type of regional culinary that has the opportunity to be developed into an attractive business is peanut brackets. In developing its business, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises are still lacking knowledge to be able to carry out the production process effectively and efficiently. In addition, MSME players also experienced problems in managing business licenses to expand the marketing distribution network of peanut products. Through business assistance by a group of builders in the Prasetiya Mulya University Community Development activities in Cianjur, production processes and product quality are improved through the creation of standard operating procedures, education, and realization of business licensing, and improving product marketing strategies. Through 1-month direct assistance, partners succeed in gaining new marketing places, getting revenue & profit increases, and partners are becoming more independent in running their business.

Abstract

Masyarakat suatu bangsa memiliki hubungan yang vertikal terhadap kualitas bangsa. Tingginya minat membaca buku seseorang berpengaruh terhadap wawasan, mental, dan prilaku seseorang. Bangsa Indonesia adalah bangsa dengan tingkat literasi yang masih rendah padahal sudah 70 tahun sejak Indonesia menjadi negara merdeka. Ada banyak faktor kenapa literasi masyarakat Indonesia memilki persentase yang rendah. Permasalahan ini harus segera mendapatkan perhatian serius bukan hanya dari pemerintah tapi dari kita semua. Bagaimana wacana mengenai minat baca menjadi terlaksana untuk semua kalangan masyarakat ketika kita masih memiliki keterbatasan jumlah buku yang dibaca ?. Maka gerakan donasi buku ini adalah dalam upaya membangun budaya literasi dan semangat literasi di Indonesia dan di Banten khususnya. Ketika budaya literasi menjadi sebuah budaya di Indonesia maka bukanlah mustahil bangsa kita akan menjadi bangsa yang maju.

Abstract

As time goes, Small Medium Enterprise (SME) has grown so fast, especially at Cianjur. Culinary is well-known as biggest contributor for the SME at Cianjur. PKM is a program that support economic growth at Cianjur, which also raise awareness and sales. There are 4 factors that elevate the SME at Cianjur, which is operation, marketing, financing, and human resource management. This research focus on marketing. This research exists to support the growth of Tahu Walik Si Montogh to become a great business. The rise of Tahu Walik Si Montogh can be achieved by choosing the right segmentation, positioning, and target, which based on consumer behaviour in Cianjur. Branding strategy for Tahu Walik Si Montogh use stimulus response approach, and persuasive communication technique that is also based on segmentation, positioning, and target, which has been defined previously and can be the base of marketing strategy for Tahu Walik Si Montogh. These two strategies are also supported by increasing the product diversification to attract customer in Cianjur.
